The purpose of this provider-directed independent study is to address the need for advanced, evidence-based education in the recognition and management of perioperative hemodynamic instability and cardiac arrest. The program is designed to strengthen provider clinical decision-making related to right and left ventricular failure, induction-agent selection, vasoplegia, perioperative cardiac arrest findings from NAP7, and antiarrhythmic therapy, with emphasis on the physiologic and pharmacologic rationale for treatment choices.
